Da molto tempo ormai sono seduto sulla riva
di questo mare, al suo interno nient’altro che rovine
di quello che un tempo riuscivo a vedere.

Sono arrivato qui perchè volevo cercare l’occhio
che avevo perduto, senza il quale non riuscivo
a dare un senso alle forme che osservavo.

Alla fine non l’ho trovato, sono riuscito soltanto
a rinchiudermi in me stesso, a seguire dei punti
che non hanno forma.

«Vorrei poter star per sempre sotto i colori di questo
tramonto», io mi dicevo. Quando calava la notte,
provavo ad osservare le stelle e veder me stesso.

Da molto tempo ormai sono seduto sulla riva di questo
mare, sul fondo nient’altro che rovine di quello che un
tempo riuscivo a vedere.

Ho forse capito solo adesso che quell’oppressione
che gravava su di me, altro non era che un ammasso
di rovine all’interno di un mare infinito.

«Vorrei poter star per sempre sotto i colori di questo
tramonto», io mi dicevo. Non mi interrogavo mai però
su questo cielo che era ormai sbiadito.

Quando calava la notte, provavo ad osservare le stelle
e veder me stesso. Linee confuse non fanno un insieme
in un deserto immobile.

Solo alla fine di questa costellazione ho capito che non
esisteva una forma, che tutto quello che avevo seguito
non era altro che un mare infinito.

For a long time now, I’m sitting on the shore of this
sea, there is nothing inside of it expect for the ruins
of what I used to see, long ago.

I arrived here to find the eye I had lost, without which
I couldn’t find reason in the shapes I observed.

I’ve never found it, I’ve only been able to lock myself
in me, following some shapeless points.

«I’d like to stay forever under the colors of this
sunset», I used to tell myself. When the night would
come, I’d try to look up to the stars and see myself.

For a long time now, I’m sitting on the shore of this
sea, there is nothing inside of it except for the ruins

I’ve just realized that the oppression that I felt on
me was nothing more than a pile of ruins, inside an
endless sea.

«I’d like to stay forever under the colors of this sunset»,
I used to tell myself. I never questioned myself on the
sky that was so faded by then.

When the night would come, I’d try to look up to the
stars and see myself.
Blurred lines can’t make a whole, in a motionless desert.

Only at the end of this constellation I’ve seen that
there were no shapes, that everything I’ve followed
was an endless sea.
